Rock For Tots Benefits not only the toys for tots program but also from the money that we raise we purchase toys for families that are referred to us from the local schools, churches, school age child care programs, and local Government. We give to the children ages 18 and under.

Since 1999 Rock For Tots NY has been  supporting the USMC ReserveToys For Tots, Inspector - Instructor Staff, Company F, 2nd.Battallion, 25th Marines,Armed Forces Reserve Center, 251 Rudy. Chase Drive, Glenville, NY (formerly of Washington Ave, Albany NY ) & also families in Waterford needing Christmas assistance with children ages 18 - under

2.    A toy drive to benefit The USMC Reserve Toys For Tots Campaign in Albany, NY. Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines (www.toysfortotsalbanyny.org) This Year’s Coordinator isStaff Sgt Bolens. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call ( 518-399-1342 Ext. 183).     
3.    Rock For Tots NY began in 1999 when I was Commander of the Saratoga County Sons of The American Legion; it is supported by the Waterford, N.Y. American Legion Charles J. Brady Post #235 and the Waterford, N.Y. VFW Memorial Post#5800. It has been said by several U.S. Marines that this is one of the largest events that benefit their Toys For Tots Program in Upstate New York. Rock For Tots is made up of several volunteers making donations or donating their time. Rock For Tots takes place in Waterford, N.Y. at Costanzo's Riverside Restaurant, located on Rt. 4 and 32 at the north end of Waterford. The dates may change,  but it is always the Saturday before Thanksgiving. WE HELP KICK OFF " TOYS FOR TOTS " WITH A BANG! What Makes Rock For Tots NY such a big event? Rock For Tots actually provides two Christmas parties. ROCK FOR TOTS NY ( Children's Christmas Party ) : It is intended for children ages 12 and under- starting at 12 noon until 2 pm. We have entertainment provided by local clowns, magicians, Frosty the Snow Man, and Santa. Our local pizza shops, MR SUBB, and other local restaurants provide lunch for the children. The admission for children is ..... A NEW UN-WRAPPED TOY!  The past few years we had over 100 children with their parents, grandparents or guardians in attendance and helped raise over 3000 toys...Thank You.....  ROCK FOR TOTS NY: This is a party for the adults. Persons under 21 are welcome but must be accompanied by a RESPONSIBLE ADULT! Rock For Tots NY has many local bands and entertainers- entertaining our audience from 3pm until midnight. Admission for this event is $10.00 and A New Un-Wrapped toy .
   
4.  Some of our past performers have been:  Joe Sinatra, One Night Stand, Flame, Winchester and Young, Big Red Nasty, Mike and the Monsters, Johnny Rabb and the Jail House Rockers, Electric Lipstick, Ohms Law, Chantal Dominique (Nashville), The Back 40 Band, Blue Creek, and Aged in The Hills,Cat Southern ( Australia), Van Preston (Nashville) Ohms Law , Harmony, Acoustic Trauma, The Outta Hand Band, Wylder, Electric Lipstick, John Morse Band, Tetonka,Carla Page.  Costanzo's Riverside Restaurant provides an "ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET" from 4pm - 8 pm, and draft beverages are included during the event. In 2005 I had the idea of reaching out to the Music World to see what kind of support I could find to help us obtain toys for tots and our local, less fortunate families. Raffle items from past events include; gift certificates from local businesses, a pair of tickets for the Kenny Rogers Christmas Show, and several autographed cd's and photo's and other items provided by 2005celebrities. Since, Parkway Music in Clifton Park, NY has supported Rock for Tots NY by donating a guitar to be autographed by national artists. Others have sent in autographed cd's for raffle prizes, others have sent in auto graphed T-shirts etc. I have had the opportunity to meet some of the artists in person to thank them for their donations.  I have received a lot of support from my friends, " DJ Tommy The Maltman & Confederate Starz Artist Mgt. owner Sher Lefever. The artists that have supported Rock for Tots NY are as follows; Deana Carter, Chris Cagle, The Pirates of The Mississippi, Jeff Bates,"The Legendary" Ric Ocasek " The Cars" , Keith Anderson, Josh Gracin, Jaimie O'Neal, Neal McCoy, Blake Shelton, Gary Alan, Chantal Dominique, Leroy Parnell, Joanne Redding, Steve Azar, and Darryl Worley. The cost of the buffet goes to Costanzo's to cover some of their expenses. A portion of the money from the raffles and 50/50 is set aside to cover program expenses. The rest is used to purchase toys for our local families in need of Christmas assistance. The USMC Res. Toys For Tots supply's some of the toys for the Waterford , NY Christmas Program, however they can't always fill the ages requested, so we purchase the many needed toys and gifts.... We don't want to see any children go without Christmas gifts.   NOW THAT YOU KNOW WHAT ROCK FOR TOTS NY IS ALL ABOUT.... COME AND JOIN THE PARTY....
